Facilitators: Meg Crosby and Katie Spencer of PeopleCap & Momentum Nonprofit Staff

In the face of a leadership transition, how might we ensure that our nonprofit organizations are set up for long-term success and sustainability? In this Design Lab, attendees will learn how to navigate planned and unplanned leadership transitions, communicate effectively with staff, supporters, and stakeholders, and develop an internal culture that supports leadership development across the board. Facilitators Katie Spencer and Meg Crosby will walk participants through the process of creating unique continuity plans for your organization as well as setting up an organizational culture that promotes leadership at all levels.

At the end of this session, participants will:
•    Have a continuity plan ready to implement
•    Have a communications plan in the event of an unplanned or planned departure
•    Know what they can do to cultivate a “leaderful” organization

Building Your Bench is ideal for Executive Directors, CEOs, Senior Leadership staff and board members who want to demonstrate a plan for longevity and sustainability at their organizations.

This series includes a panel with CEOs and EDs who have successfully navigated creating and implementing a continuity plan, as well as those who’ve experienced a few bumps in the road.

Organizations should plan to bring a senior leadership staff member as well as at least one board member in addition to the Executive Director or CEO. The registration fee will cover all three representatives from your organization.

Scholarship awards are available to Momentum Member organizations that need financial assistance to attend this workshop. Contact Troy Wiggins at twiggins@momentumnonprofit.org for scholarship requirements and more information.
